Early Career:
Ben Whishaw was a student at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where he graduated in 2003. Before he had even finished his drama studies, in 2001 he was awarded with the British Independent Film award for Most Promising Newcomer. He participated in some tv shows and had minor roles in films until he played the part of Hamlet in Shakespeare’s classical play, directed by the experienced director Trevor Nunn. His great interpretation of that emblematic character attracted lots of attention and very good reviews. Soon they started to offer him more important parts in films, like the leading role of “The Perfume” in 2006.
